Respected Leaders,
I feel very sad about the defeat of Indian National Congress. I felt UPA II is the most pro poor government since independence.
Being a small farmer and advocate I have the opportunity to meet many people in the various wakes of life. Why did people dissatisfy with congress. What are people's criticism about congress government.
1. The first that affected common people is petrol price rise. Millions of two wheeler owning common man don't appreciate the petrol price rise. The spokesperson from petroleum ministry added fuel to the anger by their stubborn answers. Any price rise particularly petroleum price rise is very sensitive matter and needs very sensitive handling. Government should attempt some relief by reducing taxes.
2. Bad handling of Cooking Gas issues. very bad handling that affects house wives women voters. They don't bother about politics. But they are sensitive to such issues. Indeed of correcting malpractices govt choose to put a gap on number cylinders a bad decision.
3. Almost negligible presence in social media and the congress failed to catch the imagination of young minds who are the beneficiaries of UPA policies. I cant understand that Rajiv insisted the need of computer and even after some 20 years congress is very hesitant about social media that is very unfortunate. Soniaji and Rahulji ridiculed there. Modi built a superman image in social media. Even new entrant like AAP leads the way. But why congress decided to keep away from social media I cant understand.I think so many jokes were made by BJPs paid IT team copying western elections and the jokes distributed in the social media painted a ridiculous picture of congress. Like an old man congress turned a blind eye. pathetic!.
4.Allegations about corruptions and almost no defense from congress. Congress workers had to bear the ridicules silently. Indeed congress workers were humiliated. Coal files missing from PMO what a pathetic handling .Even BJP is full of corrupt leaders whom against various cases bending. Only Congress was targeted.
5. Some noted leaders refusal to fight the election was seen as a sign of defeat. A surrender even before the start of war.
6. There is no good leaders at various state. who can connect with people like Amrindersingh, Umman chandi, Tarun, Chittaramaya. In the era of state parties credible regional leader is necessary.All India level we have spokes person. Every state should have spokes persons for every region who should have the authority to clear the stand of the party in any issue.
7. Lack of organization and groupism you can not avoid groups Every political parties has many groups. But in congress they failed to cooperate with each other even in election time.
8. In various states dependence of alliance partners did damage to the party. long alliance destroys the will power of leaders and workers.Party organization in these states deteriorated.
9. Party workers in the congress are the most neglected creature in the party !. No MPs No ministers No leaders cared about them . They are the fundamentals of any political movement and they were neglected. let congress has some protocol. If MP or Minister or any other authority has to visit a village then the village committee leader should be given priority. In government functions party workers should be given priority.
10.Many people did not know that pro poor programs like MNREGA Education loans RTE are central government schemes/acts.The state governments exploited the situation.
11. Arrogant speeches of some leaders ridiculous definition of poverty line and defense. When Soniaji and Rahulji interested in pro poor aam admi government , leaders like Smt Sheela Dixit, Montek singh delivered unsavory remarks about poverty line. Mani sankar ayyar's talks about Tea Vendor was also unnecessary.
12. No credible Muslim and Chiristian leaders in every state. BJP propagated the idea that minorities were considered as a vote bank by congress. Minorities tilted towards state parties in various states.
13.. Rahulji should be announced as a prime ministerial candidate. People want certainty They want to know whom they are going to vote.
14. Rahulji's well informed statements like linking indian rivers is not possible was not defended by any congress leaders. I dont remember many congress leaders who rushed to the defense of Rahulji .
15. The propaganda against black money. 90 crore black money ! People believed that. And They still believe that BJP can get back black money. Why IT failed to refuse such non senses. god only Knows. Above are plain statements gathered from the talks of people print media and social media.
Respected leaders Congress is synonymous with India. Save the Idea of Congress Save India. Organization First that is the fundamental. I particularly thank Rahulji for his initiatives in democratic elections for youth congress and primaries. My respect to Soniaji a hard working and inspirations to many.( English not my mother tongue Errors regretted)
